All over the world people are dealing with extreme weather. In places like the UK and the United States, snowstorms have been a big problem this year. However, Australia has been seeing its fair share of weather problems as well. It seems that more extreme weather conditions are set to hit both the east and western sides of the country.

People who are traveling to New South Wales are going to be battling floodwaters and severe thunderstorms. Tons of rain has beating and wearing down many isolated small communities. The small town of Ashford, which is just north east of New South Wales, has reportedly been cut in half as a creek now runs through the middle of the town.

Other towns like Bellingden and Thora are also dealing with their own flood alerts. State of Emergency Services are predicting flood levels will rise to almost 3.7 meters in Bellingden. This could leave many people living in the valley to become very isolated from help.

Michael Logan, from the Bureau of Meteorology, has warned of even more wet weather to come. He points out that, so far, the rain has been very nice and soaking. However, it appears that this is going to continue over the next three to four days. Now that the ground is full and cannot hold anymore water, land will start to flood.

However, on the flip side of this, in Western Australia, many people are wishing and praying for flood waters as they are bracing themselves for catastrophic fire conditions. Weather predictions for this area are nothing but soaring temperatures and high winds. These are very bad conditions and could lead to a fire problem quickly.
