The 46664 Concert Honouring Nelson Mandela at 90 is slated for June 27 at Hyde Park in London. An audience of 46,664 will be on hand to pay homage to one of the world’s most beloved leaders, Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Nelson Mandela, who will turn 90 this year.

The slate of performers is staggering, including Simple Minds who were instrumental in organising the 1988 Free Mandela Concert and Annie Lennox and Dave Stewart, who also appeared at the historic concert and have become two of the most active ambassadors to Mandela’s 46664 AIDS organisation. Queen’s Brian May and Roger Taylor were also instrumental in forming the organization in 2003. There are many special guests who will appear at the request of Mr. Mandela, mainly those who have been a part of his activism and have supported him in the twenty years since he was released from the prison at Robben Island.

There are reports that there will be several major artists who are going to make unexpected appearances, to surprise both Mr. Mandela and the audience.

On the list to attend are music, film, sports and political legends including former U.S. President Bill Clinton, Oprah Winfrey, Queen + Paul Rodgers, Will Smith, Aids orphan choir The Children of Agape – the subject of the award winning film feature ‘We Are Together’, Prime Minister Gordon Brown, Robert DeNiro and many others.

The tickets for the event have already gone on sale. Special offers can be found at travel websites such as superbreak.com and tickets may be purchased at ticketmaster.com. For more information on this stellar event, visit www.46664.com
