When tourists are talking about going to Australia one of their favorite places to go has always been the Gold Coast. This has always been a very popular destination for both tourists and locals. After all, the Goal Coast stands for just about everything that someone would want to see on a vacation. It has warm beaches and miles of amazing coastline.

Well it now seems that Australia wants people in Japan to notice this beauty as well. The city plays host to many important trade mission events in the travel industry. The Japan Australian Mission (JAM), which has been running since 1992, aims to promote tourism between the two countries. This is a very popular event that will now be held in Australia for the first time.

Now it seems that the beauties of the Australian Gold Coast have come to the attention of the Japanese who have chosen the city as host for one of the most important trade mission events in the country’s travel industry.

Japan continues to be a very important part of the tourism market in Australia. Despite the big downturn in recent years, Australia looks to bring back Japanese tourists. Most people believe that the downturn in Japaneses tourists comes from the fear of the H1N1 virus. This virus kept many people from traveling overseas.

The Australian Tourism Managing Director, Andrew McEvovy, said that the Japan travel market is worth about $1.4 billion each year to Australia. It is very important for Australia to keep Japan as a big part of their tourism industry. Thus, this event will be very important to the travel market as a whole.
