Another Qantas plane has just recently been grounded for a cracked windshield. Apparently the crack began during a flight between Los Angeles and Melbourne. The plane was able to land safely at Melbourne Airport. However, it will not have to undergo repair work to the side windshield where the small cracks started to appear.

This little event is now the second time this year that a Qantas flight has been grounded thanks to a crack in the windshield. However, there have been quite a few problems that have been hitting Qantas’ flights pretty hard and causing a lot of flights to be grounded.

A wiring fault just recently stopped a Boeing 747 from flying from Brisbane to Los Angeles. Just two days earlier from the faulty wiring, a A380 had its tire burst when landing at Sydney Airport after flying from London via Singapore. Although Qantas wishes that was the only trouble that they have been having, it’s not. Just last Tuesday another 747 landed safely in Sydney after reporting engine problems just 30 minutes into a flight to Singapore.

The truth of the matter is that planes are very complex pieces of machinery. There is a lot that has to go right on every flight, and it’s easy to see how things can go wrong. At the same time, it seems like other airlines are not having quite as many technical issues as Qantas is having. This has led some experts to believe that there is something else going on at Qantas. Maybe the current state of the travel industry is proving to be too much for the well known carrier.
