For men that are looking for the best time in Australia, experts are now saying that there is only one place that these men should go. To most peoples’ surprise this one spot is not Sydney as most people would think. In fact, they say that men will have the time of their lives in Melbourne.

A poll that was taken by Askmen.com ranked 29 cities across the globe based on how good they are for men to live, work and of course play. This data was based on the number of vacation days, the ratio of men to women, the weather, the unemployment rate and new restaurant and club openings.

Despite all of the great cities that made the list, no city was able to beat out Melbourne. Sydney placed ninth on the list. New York was able to take a top spot as well and Tokyo ranked third with Madrid and London rounding off the top five.

James Bassil, who is the Askmen.com editor-in-chief, said that they are positioning the best cities that they can live in, say for a year. They need to be somewhere exotic, with culture and job opportunities. However, they also have to have entertainment for men which includes clubs.

Some newcomers that made the list this year included Las Vegas, which was able to place 29^th on the list. Bassil said that he was shocked at just how low Las Vegas placed, given the city’s reputation.

Just last year, the top five cities, according to Askmen.com, were Chicago, Barcelona, San Francisco, London, and Sydney. Thus, it is easy to see that these results change from year to year. However, this year Melbourne is at the top.
