Tourists Heading to Australia for Metallica Tour
Posted on: April 30th, 2010 by Samuel EdwardsIt seems that heavy metal fans from all around the world will soon be heading to Australia. This is because Metallica, a heavy metal rock band from the United States, will be kicking off its World Magnetic Tour in New Zealand in October.
The band updated their website just recently after speculation started that a visit may be in the cards. The website said that they know that it has been way too long since they visited that part of the world. So now it’s game on time.
The tour kicks off in New Zealand on October 13th before heading to Australia. They will be in Brisbane on October 18th. From their they plan on heading to Perth on October 22nd, Sydney on November 10th, Adelaide on November 15th and finally ending in Melbourne on November 18th.
Fans of the band have been second guessing Metallica’s visit to Australia after their drummer, Lars Ulrich, let it slip to the press in Columbia that the band would be playing in parts of Australia after their New Zealand gig. Since then, speculation has been rife as to where they would play and when.
Metallica has not traveled to Australia since 2004, when they did their world tour. Back then the band commented on how much they enjoyed visiting Australia and how they saw it as a break from their heavy schedule.
Tickets for the band will go on sale May 13th. People from all around the world will be buying tickets to have a shot at seeing this classic heavy metal band live in Australia.
