Finnair Announces the Launching of Evening Flights from Hong Kong to Europe
Posted on: June 17th, 2010 by Bobby JonesFinnair, which is Finland’s largest airline and its flag carrier, has just recently announced the launching of a new evening flight from Hong Kong to Helsinki. This is good news, not only for Finland, but for people in Australia as well. It is very easy for people to fly into Finland from Australia and then get connecting flights to other areas.
This ten-hour flight, with connections to over 40 destinations in Europe, allows passengers to arrive at their final destination in the morning. It is ideal for business travelers. Finnair is trying to prove itself as a compelling option for travelers who want to go to areas such as Copenhagen, Barcelona, London and even Stockholm. The airline has taken one step closer to this goal with this new route.
Currently Finnair is investing in an advertising, marketing and PR campaign in Hong Kong and Shenzhen. The company opened a representative office in Shenzhen to further build its brand up in Southern China.
The launch of this new campaign will last for 3 months and has gone live this week in Central MTR station in Hong Kong. For the very first time, this brand is also investing in a 2-month outdoor campaign in Shenzhen to reach travelers who live just over the border and who use the Hong Kong Airport.
The sales and director for Hong Kong and Australia at Finnair, Jonne Lehtioksa, said that, as well as focusing the airline’s attention on Hong Kong passengers, they also want to emphasis the ease of traveling between Delta Area and Europe using Hong Kong as a departure point. Finnair is investing in the Asia Pacific region and aims to draw more business between Hong Kong and China and the rest of Europe.
