It seems that Australia was able to make this year’s Glastonbury in the UK a music event to remember. This was thanks to such big Australian artists like Rolf Harris and Kylie Minogue thrilling crowds with their performances.

Rolf Harris provided the opening act for the Pyramid Stage last Friday morning. He looked like the man from Del Monte and delighted party-goers with renditions of old favorites like “Tie Me Kangaroo Down Sport” and “Stairway to Heaven.”

Of course, Rolf was certainly on top form, and the crowd ate the whole performance. However, this was not the first time Rolf had been at Glastonbury. He once was at the music festival in 1994 and was named the best entertainer to ever have appeared at Glastonbury. This is one Australian artist that is proving he still has what it takes to perform live.

However, one of the most loved performances of the day was Kylie Minogue, when she preformed with Scissor Sisters on the Pyramid Stage. Sure Kylie is a great singer and people love her music, but this is not the main reason why the crowd went crazy when she walked out on the stage. It could have had a lot to do with the sheer see through bodysuit that barely covered her. Either way, Kylie proved that she knows how to give the crowd what they want to see.

This was Kylie’s first performance at Glastonbury. She was going to take part in the event back in 2005, but she was diagnosed with breast cancer. Although she was over it within a year, she missed her shot. However, this year she was back in full action again.
