Australia Being Urged to Lead the Asia Pacific Industry
Posted on: August 30th, 2010 by Dave HumphriesAccording to new reports, the Asia Pacific region is now the most profitable. Many places in the world are trying to get in on this new profitable action. However, according to the International Air Transport Association, there is only one place that should try and lead the Asia Pacific Industry, and that is Australia.
Right now the Asia region is on the upturn, but this is something that will be short-lived if it does not have a strong industry leader. According to the International Air Transport Association, Australia is in the right position to take this role.
The Director of the International Air Transport Association, Giovanni Bisignani, said that the credibility and respect that Australia has been able to build gives it some great opportunities. It could play a very key role in the regional leadership of the Asia Pacific market.. Australia is in the middle of the most challenging and interesting parts of the world. The Asia Pacific region is the largest single market in aviation and will continue to drive industry growth.
Right now reports are suggesting that carriers in the Asia Pacific Region are expected to report some USD2.2 billion in profits for 2010. This will be the largest gain of all regions compared to last year. To this, Giovanni Bisignani said that the future of aviation is in the hands of the Asia Pacific region.
Although Australia may be in the best place to take advantage of this region, it does seem like there are other areas around the world that are going to try and move in on this spot. Although Australia is in the best position to take advantage of it, the country has to move in on the chance or someone else will take it away from them.
