Jeremy Clarkson says Stig is Canned

Posted on: September 9th, 2010 by Bobby Jones

According to Jeremy Clarkson, the man who plays Stig has just recently been sacked from Top Gear. Ben Collins, who was the man who played Stig, was let go after he unmasked himself. He did this after the BBC failed to win an injunction preventing him from revealing his real identity.

Jeremy Clarkson said that he felt very hurt and even betrayed by what Mr Collins did. He said that he was just shocked. Overall, he felt it was horrible because he liked Ben. He would come over to Jeremy’s house for drinks all the time.

Clarkson went on to say that he has spent the last three weeks trying to figure out what on earth to do instead. He then commented on the movie Wall Street. He said in that movie, Gordon Gekko said that greed was good, and greed works. However, it does not, greed is bad.

Jeremy was then asked who was going to replace Collins. To this he said that they have many thousands of people lining up to be whatever it is they create. He did add that Richard cannot do it because he can’t drive, and James is too slow. He even noted that he was too old to do it.

However, he finished up by saying that people should not worry. They will find somebody, Top Gear is damaged but not out. Jeremy then jokingly said that he would love to see Prime Minister Cameron do it.

Ben Collins has done a lot of things in his life before he was the man behind the mask. Before Top Gear he was a former American NASCAR river, as well as a Formula 3 driver. He was also a Daniel Craig stunt double.
