The fact of the matter is, things in Egypt are not improving at a very quick speed. Of course, this is to be expected. After all, people cannot just put a new government in charge overnight. However, what they can do is see the military take over, and that is just what happened.

Current reports now show that the military in Egypt has taken over control. The military said that it will remain in control for the next six months. During this time, the Egyptian constitution has been suspended.

What does this mean for Australia? Well it means that the country will not be changing its travel warning regarding Egypt any time soon. A lot of this has to do with the way that the military is going to be running things for the time being.

In fact, the Egyptian military is attempting to restore some order to Cairo. This is good because Cairo has been in complete chaos for some time now. However, it is bad because the military is going to have to do this by force as protestors are refusing to leave.

The Australian government did note that they completely understand the desire of the people of Egypt for reform. The country wants democracy and Australia understands that. On that same note, the government has to continue to monitor the situation very closely. Judging by what has been seen so far, the government cannot change its travel warnings just yet.

Overall, this should not come as a shock to many people. In fact, most countries still have travel warnings in effect for Egypt. Until a new government is put in place after the elections, most places will not change their travel warnings.
