Expedia went on to back up these facts. In fact, Expedia said that, during the week in which Oprah’s stay in Australia was broadcast, the number of people interested in Australian vacations increased by 163 percent.

Now just like everyone else, Expedia assumed that these numbers would start to drop back down again. However, weeks later, the number of people that are looking to travel to Australia is still on the rise. Overall, experts in Australia say that this is a good thing. With all of the problems that Australia has had to deal with, this little extra boost is what the country needs.

It is very possible that other countries are now going to want Oprah to come visit them. If one woman can boost a country’s tourism, those countries are going to do whatever they can to get her inside their boarders.
